Agents register themselves with your workspace and report health continuously.

A Vibe is a project context — a workspace-scoped grouping of related work. A vibe maps to a folder on a target, can nest under a parent vibe, and carries metadata: git remote, environment variables, tags, notes, attached docs, and operational tooling. Vibes are where your sessions, scripts, schedules, and documentation live.

VibeControls treats AI as a first-class workflow, not a bolted-on chat panel. It supports many providers behind one interface — Anthropic Claude, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, Google Gemini, Aider, Sourcegraph Amp, Charm Crush, Block Goose, Plandex, Pi, OpenCode, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. It is BYOK by design — VibeControls does not resell inference, you bring your own API key, and your prompts never become someone else training data.

VibeControls is API-first. Every capability is reachable from: Web app (full product), CLI (terminal-native automation), Browser extension (Chrome MV3), VS Code extension, MCP server (for Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and any MCP-compatible AI agent), Node.js SDK, and Python SDK.

How does the plugin system work?

Plugins follow a strict three-tier model. The agent never talks directly to a concrete tool — it goes through a meta plugin (owning the interface contract), which delegates to a provider plugin (implementing the contract for a specific backend like tmux, wezterm, Cloudflare, Claude, etc.). Standalone tool plugins sit alongside this hierarchy for capabilities that do not need an interface abstraction (SSH, git, code-server, backup, etc.).

VibeControls inherits enterprise-grade RBAC, multi-tenancy, audit, and governance from the Burdenoff platform. Every operation is RBAC-checked and every mutation is captured in an immutable 7-year audit log, which feeds our in-flight SOC 2 and ISO 27001 evidence-gathering program. SIEM streaming export is planned.

Self-hosting and dedicated single-tenant deployments are an Enterprise-edition option for organisations with strict data-residency, air-gapped, or regulatory requirements. SaaS (multi-tenant, run by Burdenoff) is the default for individuals, hobby, and team plans.
